Lock down in March, we just had time to hold our March meeting which was a cracker. Our speaker, the Cocktails Boys let us down at the last minute, but some members put together something on a similar theme, which meant cocktails and nibbles. Needless to say it was a super evening. We have also managed to hold 2 afternoon tea sessions in Phyllis and Eddie Bestwick's garden, all socially distancing with masks worn until members were seated; plus 2 Committee meetings, using the same venue and we've just, by hook or by crook, managed a WhatsApp Committee meeting, which was interesting to say the least. We keep in touch with our members by weekly phone calls and have distributed Christmas Bags to each member; with inoculations on the horizon perhaps we can be a little optimistic about meeting again. To end this year on a high note, our President has just given birth to her second daughter Violet.
